Department of Art Education
Vision and Mission:
The Department of Education strives for continuous development and advancement of its academic and artistic standards, enhancing the performance of its faculty by providing and equipping dedicated classrooms with the latest equipment and supplies. It also aims to increase the number of faculty members to accommodate a larger student body. The department considers students' abilities and interests in field training and sends faculty and students to participate in exhibitions and festivals. It also holds annual exhibitions showcasing student work in academic subjects and provides a specialized library to supply students and researchers with a wealth of information.
The objectives of the Department of Art Education are derived from the general objectives of the Ministry, the University, and the College of Education, contributing to the following:
1- Graduating qualified personnel with the necessary educational and artistic skills to meet the needs of society and the job market.
2- Preparing technically qualified personnel to work in various organizations and institutions.
3- Developing cultural awareness of the importance of the arts among students in the Art Education Department.
4- Identifying artistically gifted individuals, nurturing and refining their abilities, developing their sensory skills, and preparing a qualified teaching staff through workshops and training courses.
5- Utilizing the Ministry's annual plan for scholarships and training courses.
