Vision and Mission:

Department Vision: To ensure the department meets internationally recognized scientific standards by providing specialized laboratories, a qualified faculty, and continuously developing and reviewing the curriculum to meet the needs of the local and global community. The department aims to produce graduates who are distinguished both theoretically and practically by offering the best educational programs in the field of anesthesia. This will be achieved through: a focus on the practical aspects of education to cultivate leaders in the field of anesthesia; the adoption of creative and innovative ideas, projects, and plans to enhance the teaching of anesthesia techniques; and fostering a strong sense of professional commitment among its graduates.

Department Objectives:

The Department of Anesthesia Techniques aims to train, educate, and prepare students theoretically and practically to graduate as anesthesia technicians possessing advanced technical skills, as well as knowledge of laboratory materials and equipment and how to use them. This will be accomplished by: preparing specialized healthcare professionals in anesthesia and intensive care techniques to work in public and private healthcare institutions; preparing, operating, and maintaining anesthesia, monitoring, and treatment equipment in various intensive care units; and preparing patients before surgery in the operating room. Performing intensive patient care and managing narcotics. Participating with the medical team in clinical input for emergency and life-threatening cases in various work settings (operating room and recovery room). Providing students with clinical experience that will help them perform their recognized professional duties.
